Lived rhythms as a ground for togetherness and learning in hybrid workspace

Using Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s theory of the flesh as rhythm, this article examines how lived dynamics between embodiment and space construct distinct modes togetherness learning in working life. Workspaces are becoming increasingly hybrid collections various physical virtual spaces. Contemporary workspace ideals embrace openness a collective ‘buzz’, but can also be disorientating. This different spaces could combined to create spatial rhythms that balance with more silent types understanding reflexivity. The suggests we need both intimate open spaces, well transitional between, nurture togetherness. First, withdrawal help people connect their earlier work history dreams, sustaining perception. Second, rhythmic movements experience worlds overlapping fertile condition for immediate communities. approaches assist opening personal registers often suppressed: imagination past. illuminates reflexively created support grounding, spur opportunities actualise novel being together.
